INDONESIA // TRAVEL

Hohoho, I’ve done enough holidaying for a year and yet there's still more to come.
This was one of my more spontaneous trips. Okay, 2 weeks in advance isn’t that crazy, but when the news was broken to me, I fell into a state of panic. My chemistry test was on the first day back to school and I was arriving home the night before. Call me a goody-two-shoes, but I completely refused to go. The worth of a good score exceeds that of a free holiday (tickets completely paid for by my grand uncle - real MVP) to meet fam and live in luxury for 2 weeks. No! I was not having it. I could not afford to fail school. But against my own free will, my dad decided to punish my overbearing selfishness and drag me to Indonesia. First was Bali, of course. Okay, to be quite frank travelling with family can sometimes be the worst because there are SO many conflicting interests. Seriously dad, I’m not built to refrain from drinking fresh juice and enjoy 100USD seafood that taste like cardboard. Sadly, that pretty much sums up the whole of Bali. No nice drinks and eating expensive tourist food (some of it was okay, but it was pretty much all the same in all the tourist areas). I mean, I had my first j.co donuts so that made up for it. Actually I had about 10 and slept like a baby every night. YIS! Also, I manage to scatter some study throughout my entire stay (booyah)

HAWEEWEE // TRAVEL

I FINALLY edited the photos I had taken during my trip to Hawaii and Indonesia! I am quite honestly a champion. I've probably never felt so accomplished.
I remember at the beginning of this year, I was reminding you guys that I was still alive and enjoying the views of those rugged landscapes... it seems that nothing has really changed (except rugged landscapes have been replaced with the blaring brightness of my new MacBook *yes*).

When I told my friends, it seemed to them as a weird holiday destination - some 'random' selection. GUYS, if you actually go to Honolulu, you'll see that it's 105% tourist and 0.00000003% locals. Do I really owe an explanation for my holiday choices? (well, my mum's aunt actually lives there and she's completely alone excluding her own fam so we decided to visit after 5 years of saying we would).

It was my first time going anyway close to the USA (does Hawaii count as the US?) so I was, of course, excited. I didn't really know what to expect since I was (and sometimes remain) an uncultured swine, but I knew it would be beautiful yet extremely touristy. And that's exactly how it was...

Let's Talk About #2 - Fitness and Dieting

I've decided to make these "Let's Talk About" a more frequent thing because I have so many opinions I need to express!

Hey lovelies!
It seems that since the massive fitness crazed dawned, the importance of having the 'perfect' body has been further blown out of proportion. Especially with social media, all of us are under even more pressure and are increasingly uncomfortable with our bodies. This isn't exactly new stuff, but it's not surprisingly a lot worse now.

This is something that has really struck me, affected me and stressed me out, so today I'm just going to outline my "views" towards dieting in today's society but also my own ways (ways I have gleaned from the real gurus out there) of staying fit and HEALTHY.

Disclaimer: I am BY NO MEANS a health and fitness specialist. I am just a teenager who is trying to find their way around this world.

PINNACLES X BUNBURY

HEY GUYS!
Guess what? I went on a road trip. Actually, I went on two but the break between them was 1 day so it was like a massive journey. To roast my skin.

I'm going to admit. It was so hot I almost died but I made it through, with a couple of nice pics. OK the waters weren't exactly aesthetically pleasing but they were fun to swim in. Until Uncle TOM came... ahahah ;-)

BUT HERE'S A LITTLE SUMMARY OF THE TRIP!

Best Movies, Books and Music of 2014

HEY YO LOVELIES!
Christmas is dawning and so is the New Year! Kind of daunting really... I remember about  a year ago I was sitting in a my Auntie's apartment in China hit the streets or later when I was in my hotel room in Taiwan typing up my Christmas greetings. BUT I'll save all that to a later date because I needa share the things that have been keeping me going this year! This translates to my favourites movies, books and music... as hinted above.

// WARNING: THIS TO TOTES SUBJECTIVE //
+ this is quite a lengthy post
+ being a favourite doesn't necessarily mean it was released this year,
mainly that I was exposed to it this year.

Empathy VS Sympathy

Hello my lovelies!
We've started school and it's safe to say that my classes suck. Either they're full of people I don't talk to, too small or the content is driving me crazy. I'm not stressed yet (except about my books which I have ordered by won't come until another 2 weeks) and I'm trying to pace myself. However our Literature teacher decided to give us a 'anxiety session', just to get ourselves prepared, where she just went over how to deal with worrying and showed us this clip. She wants us to make school a safer environment and I love her for that, so I'm going to share it with you in hope you can make your school a safer environment too.
